A GREAT man once said;
“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
In age that feels more and more like an “Orwellian Dystopia” EVERY day, I can’t help but feel sorry for so much and so many I see around my world both digitally on social media and in real life out and about. Fiction is believed to be truth, the truth is called a lie, good is bad, bad is good, and morality is a weather vane, that changes and spins to the direction the wind blows.
So to all of my fellow fathers, dads, grandads, uncles, coaches, and men who are role models and father figures to those around you… make “Father’s Day” EVERY day. Be a Shepheard to your flock, be a pillar of strength, a source of truth, and a protector against the evils of this world that are in great abundance. Teach those around you, practice what you teach as they learn by example more than by spoken word. Be consistent, be present, and be accountable to those who depend on you and need you. Most of all men, be humble, righteous, demonstrate love, and exercise faith.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heat, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3: 5-6
“The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7
Happy Father’s Day Weekend folks! and a special shout out to all of the single Mom’s, Grandmas, Aunts, and Woman who play double duty when men don’t step up and walk a way. As a proud son, grandson, and nephew of some pretty amazing ladies; THANK YOU for all you do too!
Also a Happy Birthday to all of those who served and who are still serving in the Army. 250th is quite a milestone. Sincerest thanks to all who serve and have served, in all branches of the military, and as first responders. It’s a thankless job, a dangerous job, and one that asks too much from both you and your families. Despite all of that, you step up, you run into danger, and most of all, you protect the right of not only those who support you, but those who would also do you harm. “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave” should really be “Land of the Free, Because of the Brave”
