Some sun, some fun, some projects, and just life outside of work on this week off. Not the original plan, but much needed time away from the 9-5(if only) and much needed perspective on a lot of things in life.
There’s a lot we dream of, about, and for; things we aspire and long for. Even with a focus on the journey and not specifically the destination; arriving is not always what it looked like in those dreams.
There are things in life that are real, things in life that matter, and things that you find the older you get aren’t and don’t. How you do what you do is more important than what you do, and why you do it may be the most important of all.
At the end of the day, it’s pretty simple – the people and relationships you will some day leave behind, and the impact you have in the lives you’ve crossed outweigh any of the possessions or wealth you may have accumulated. Chase your purpose in life, not your position because those will only ever be temporary and the former is given to you by a much higher power than the ones signing your checks
